Xlendi Tower Coastal Path is a scenic cliffside walk from Xlendi Bay toward Torri tax-Xlendi, a historic coastal watchtower overlooking the entrance to the bay. The route includes stone steps, open sea views, limestone cliffs, and one of Gozo’s most important coastal landmarks. Xlendi Tower was built in 1650 during the rule of Grand Master Lascaris as part of the Knights of St John’s coastal defence system, helping protect Xlendi Bay from pirates, smugglers, and quarantine evaders. The walk is short and beautiful, but some parts can be uneven and exposed, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
